How do I pay for my order?

Accepted Answer

A 50% non-refundable deposit is required to secure your order.
Payment can be made via e-transfer or through our secure online checkout system.
The remaining balance is due 5 days prior to the scheduled delivery or pickup date.
Last-minute orders (placed less than 5 days in advance) require full payment upfront, and are subject to a $15 rush fee.

Do you offer delivery?

Yes! Delivery is available for an additional charge starting at $25.
Delivery is not mandatory, except for cakes with 3 or more tiers, which require delivery.
Pickup is also available. Please note that Sweet Escape Co. cannot be held responsible for any damages once your order has been picked up.

How much notice do you need for an order?

• We require at least 3 weeks notice. We do take last minute orders if we do have availability.
• There is an additional RUSH fee of $15 on last minute orders placed within 5 days of your event.

Question 6

How do I transport my cake?

Accepted Answer

When picking up your order, we recommend placing cakes on a flat surface in your vehicle (such as the floor or trunk) with the air conditioning on to keep them cool.
Upon arrival, cakes should be refrigerated and then taken out 30–45 minutes before your event starts for the best presentation and taste.

Can I cancel my order?

While the 50% deposit is non-refundable, you may receive a credit toward a future order valid for up to 1 year from the original booking date. A minimum of 10 days’ notice is required to qualify for a credit.
Cancellations made within 10 days of the event date will not be eligible for a credit.

Do you offer cake tastings?

Yes, we offer takeaway cupcake tasting boxes which include:
12 plain cupcakes (6 flavours)
             6 fillings on the side for you to mix and match
The tasting box is available for $40.

Are your cakes nut/gluten/dairy/egg free?

Accepted Answer

We use a variety of ingredients in our products and cannot guarantee allergen-free items. While some desserts or flavours may not contain nuts, we cannot guarantee they are free from any traces of nuts due to cross-contamination.

Question 10

How do I store leftovers?

Accepted Answer

Option 1:
 Best if you plan to enjoy the cake within 3–4 days. Store cake slices in an airtight container or wrapped tightly with plastic wrap in the fridge. Before serving, bring to room temperature for the best taste and texture.

Option 2:
 For storage longer than 4 days, wrap the cake slices with plastic wrap and then tin foil before freezing. When ready to enjoy, transfer the cake from the freezer to the fridge to thaw. Once thawed, remove from the fridge and bring to room temperature before serving.
